Snowy (still!) March Greetings from the Kretschmanns!
There’s still more of the Hoard of ’09 left so we’re a planning another round of winter veggie boxes for the week of March 10 & 11 . With the winter boxes you may opt in or out of the box each time we offer them.
The apples are outstanding. Goldrushes continue to wow the taste buds of anyone who encounters them. We’ve got lots of potatoes and cabbage. The storage onions look great. We should also get a good picking of interesting cold weather greens from our greenhouses as well. It’s a great selection of local organic produce, most of which should store well even without refrigeration.
We are planning dropoffs 3/10 in the vicinity of
Here’s what we’ll have in the box: 4# apples, 5# red potatoes/Yukon gold mix, 1 1/2# beets, 3 onions, 1 cabbage (red or green), sm. bag fresh greens from the greenhouse, winter garden herbs, 1# fresh sauerkraut. Cost: $30
You must confirm if you want this winter delivery. E-mail (best) or phone is fine. We’ll get back to you with confirmation and the pickup spot so check your e-mail. The number of boxes is limited so, first come, first served.
Good dropoff points are critical for the winter boxes. We don’t have any prearranged ones like we do in the summer. Nor are they permanent ones. You needn’t host for more than the one week. If you’ve got a suitable sheltered place for delivering the winter boxes—like a porch or garage—please consider volunteering to host a delivery and let us know when you respond.
Hope all is clear. Thanks for all.
