Last Chance Farm

The Jenny family farm is operated by three generations of the family in three households on the farm.. Ron (Jan-wife) is the patriarch with whom one ought not take any one sentence too seriously in conversation, if truth and accuracy are your game. Gottcha will be the result. Ron is a master draft horse handler who used to keep the team and as show wagon for Iron City Brewing and display it in parades. The skill has been passed down to several grandsons—Clint and Colt—who recently won the Pennsylvania State pony pulling contest in Harrisburg. Dean and Kathy are the boys’ parents and there’s a sister Carolyn.

Ron’s son, Ross and wife Kathy with their son, Wyatt, complete the biography. (Well, almost—there’s a daughter of Ron’s, Laurie, who lives across the road from the Kretschmanns with her husband and more grandchildren.) The Jenny’s keep a mixed beef herd, draft horses, ponies, and breed hogs as well.
