COMMON PICKUP PROBLEMS

If your box isn’t at your dropoff: 1) check with the stop host and leave your name so if there’s a leftover box at the end of the pickup time, you can be contacted. Sometimes people take the wrong box.  2) Give us a call that evening because at most Pittsburgh city stops we return for the empties the next day and can bring another box for you. These would be all the Tuesday and Wednesday stops except Fox Chapel, Oakmont, Beechwood Nature Center and the North Hills stops(PV,NH, MK, RM, GI) Other stops we will credit you. When we're bringing a box for you the next day because we forgot, it will arrive a little later than normally because we pick up empties after delivering the full ones.  It should generally be there by 5:00.

Vacations: 1) We're happy to mark our list as soon as you know when you will be away.  Let us know the specific dates of the weeks you'll be gone.  Since we mark these actually on the paper barn lists, we need to have them printed up.  We do this twice during the season--in late May (for deliveries from June until late Aug.) and again in late August (for Sept. thru Nov.).

2) If you are a half share, and go on vacation and will miss a week, we can swap cycles so you don’t miss veggies three weeks in a row, or we can also bring a box the next two weeks to make up the difference. Let us know when you are making the vacation arrangements so we know exactly how to mark the barn lists. 3) Let us know if you want a credit or to donate your box while you are away.

Sending a friend or neighbor to pick up your box:  Be sure to let the person picking up your box how it all works, especially that they need to look for the box with your name on it. You'd be amazed how often that person thinks all the boxes are the same and one needs only to grab any box.
