Tomato Soup - The Best Ever
3 T. butter
1 c. sliced onions
1 c. shredded carrots
4 c. tomatoes - peeled and
chopped
1/2 c. basil
3/4 tsp. sugar
14 oz chicken broth (or
vegetable broth)
Salt to taste - 1/8 tsp. white pepper.
Sauté onion and carrots in
butter. Add remaining ingredients -
except
broth. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer
covered 10 minutes. Process.
Add broth and salt. Can add more chopped basil after heating.
